[Acquisitions] Marvel Heroes Self-Vending Buildable Figures

So, what do we have here? Well, these are self-vending, buildable Marvel Heroes figurines from A&A Global Industries! The figures are two inches tall, and they are so swell! These figures are so darn cute, I just want to have a shelf full of them!

These little heroes are supposed to be vending machine toys, but I was able to spot and get them at several toy stores in Greenhills. They're actually available by bulk overseas, but buying these figures that way isn't really practical. For a single order worth nearly a hundred U.S. dollars, you'll get a random assortment of 250 figures. That may sound fair, but you need to know that there are only six characters available per set, and that's the deal-breaker. Fortunately for practical persons like us, somebody probably bought a set and scattered the excess figures all over Greenhills for us to go crazy over. The figures are being sold locally for about a hundred bucks each, that's quite steep for a 2-inch figure but I can live with that.

Unlike other vending machine toys though, these figures do not come in capsules, simply because their heads already serve that purpose. Splitting the head open will reveal the character's body, and all you have to do is assemble the figure by sandwiching the neck peg of the body between the two halves of the head.

Series 1 is composed of Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor, and Wolverine, while Series 2 is bannered by Cyclops, Daredevil, Dr. Doom, The Thing, Venom, and Wolverine (in brown costume). Series 2 figures are not yet available locally, but I hope they'll arrive soon. The Thor figure seems to be quite rare, as I was able to spot only one Thor figure despite visiting each and every toy store in the complex. Unfortunately for me, when I came back for that lone Thor figure, it was no longer there. Gggrrr... I saw another one on eBay, and I'll probably get that one along with the Spider-Man and Wolverine figures, just to justify paying for the shipping fee. It's quite a treat to know that all characters from Series 1 are members of the Avengers, and I hope to see more members of the Avengers in the future line-ups.
