P-Dub's Playground would like to congratulate Miami Heat forward LeBron James for winning the 2011-12 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player award.
With the recent accolade, LBJ becomes:
- The first Miami Heat player to win the Maurice Podoloff trophy
- Just the second player in NBA history to win at least three MVP awards before the age of 28, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
- Just the eighth player in NBA history to have at least three MVP awards, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, and Moses Malone
Again, congratulations, LBJ! Now, let's get the Larry O'Brien trophy and the championship ring that comes with it!
